Abstract

This analysis aims to explore the extent of code-mixing in a podcast video between Cinta Laura and Luna Maya uploaded on YouTube by the YouTube channel PUELLA ID, the video is then categorized into different types of code-mixing based on Muyskenâ€™s (2000) theory, using descriptive qualitative research. Some methods followed to collect the data including searching, selecting, downloading, watching, transcribing the vidio and identifying the code mixing. This analysis usefull to knowing the use of code mixing in a conversation conducted by an individual with another individuals. The results of the analysis from the 20 total conversations analyzed, it is found that there are 24 utterances that contain code mix among them, 12 insertion type code mix, 15 alternation type code mix, and 1 congruent lexicalization type code mix.
