PENTINGNYA KESEIMBANGAN PENDIDIKAN AKADEMIK DAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER YANG ISLAMI PADA ANAK USIA DINI DALAM MENGHADAPI PERKEMBANGAN JAMAN
Abstract
Education is a needed investment in order to produce quality human resources. Education can improve living standards and develop one's character. It is consistent as stipulated in Law Number 20 Year 2003 concerning the National Education in schools is not only mastery in the academic field so as to form intelligent people. But there is a balance between character education with academic education that must be teach in children from an early age. This is caused by an early age is the golden. Age is crucial in developing the child's full potential. The results showed that about 50% of intelligence variability occurs when a child is 4 years old. An increase of 30% again at the age of 8 years and 20% at the age after 8 years. The importance of a balance of character education with academic education that must be planted from an early age is a shared responsibility in fostering knowledgeable noble morals. Forming children to have good character or character, is not easy. Not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. Requires a process, patience, accuracy, struggle and shared responsibility between the school and family. That is all efforts in an effort to build the nation's character by balancing academic education with Islamic character education. This effort starts from an early age so that children as human beings who have knowledge, piety and noble character are ready to face the changing times.
