Nowadays, most Muslims, especially young people, tend to live in a prosperous environment, have a lot of fun and are very consumptive individuals. Currently, they tend to follow and indulge their desires easily without considering that this is a futile and loss-making action. For this reason and so that a person's actions can have the value of worship and can also bring goodness in this world and the hereafter, it is necessary to know and understand the arguments of naqli and aqli regarding the concept of a simple life according to Islamic law so that it can form a way of thinking about life that does not like extravagance and excessive. Living simply doesn't mean we are poor, let alone destitute. A simple life is about how we act submissively or humblely before Allah, the Lord of the Universe. This article contains about how the concept of simple living that has been taught in the Koran and how it is applied in everyday life.

This article discusses the relationship between the three main pillars of Islamic thought, philosophy, theology and Sufism, which are intertwined and impact each other. The dialogue between rationality and faith has produced different types of thought since the beginning of Islamic civilization. Figures like Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina played an important role in bridging the gap between revelation and reason. Meanwhile, theological schools such as the Asy'ariyah and Maturidiyah emphasized the importance of rationality and tradition in understanding God. In contrast, Sufism offers a deeply spiritual perspective through practices such as dhikr and meditation. Figures such as Jalaluddin Rumi and Ibn Arabi convey this in their writings. While there are tensions between these three disciplines, the debates that arise enrich Islamic thought and encourage a broader understanding of faith and knowledge. This can lead to a deeper appreciation of the intellectual heritage of Islamic civilization.
